Ventura County Reverse Mortgages

I believe that in order to have happier borrowers,

I follow  these five easy steps…

            1) I tell them what to expect. I always let the client know what to expect in every stage of the loan process, especially in our first meeting.

         2) I describe everything in plain language so the

client can fully understand.

    3)  I go over all the client’s options. The client needs to know his choices in order to make the best use of his financial resources.

    4)   I tell the client of all the fees involved upfront in the first meeting. I don’t hide any charges.

    5) I try to make the process less overwhelming.

Michael started his real estate career in 1971 with the purchase of his first home. Michael bought a home in Perrysburg, Ohio for the enormous sum of $20,000.00!  It had no central heat, and no insulation but it did have knob and tube wiring.  The home was built before 1865 and it needed some restoration.  Seven years and two tetnus shots later the restoration was finished and it was included in the National Register of Historic Places. Michael then went on to purchase a nineteen unit apartment complex and has bought and sold numerous properties in Ohio and California since then.

Real Estate was not his primary business. He was educated at the University of Notre Dame and St. Louis University. He graduated on the Deans List with a BA degree and he started his career as a television producer/director.  Soon afterwards he proceeded to win seven awards in the Television Industry. Highlights included the San Francisco State Community Service Award, which he won twice, and the prestigious Catholic broadcasting award, the Gabriel.

Later in his career as Vice President of Marketing for Cox Cable he won the Cable Marketing Magazine’s Best of Show, the New York Art Directors Club Certificate of Merit, the Cable TV Advertising and Marketing Society, TAMI, and the Santa Barbara Advertising Club Award of Excellence, among others.

Michael has been in the mortgage finance business as a full time career since 1988. He started at Countrywide Funding as Vice President of Origination. After two years with Countrywide he left to start his own business as a Mortgage Broker. Throughout his career he has maintained a concentrated emphasis on creating clients for life by providing the best loan programs suited to the specific needs of his individual clients in a prompt and cost efficient manner. The goal for Michael and his team is to provide the highest level of customer service for each client.

In the midst of all this mortgage activity he has been active in the community. He was the Legislative Chair of the local chapter for the California Association of Mortgage Brokers for three years, and active member of the Thousand Oaks Rotary Club. Michael was a member of the Conejo Ski Club, on their board for three years, and voted “man of the year” in 1997. He was recognized as the Affiliate of the Year in 1998 by the Conejo Valley Association of Realtors for his contribution to the Real Estate Community. He has been on the Board of Directors for Many Mansions since 1999 and served as Treasurer for three years.
